Local rules

  LOCAL RULES AS OF JULY 1st 2007

      • Out of Bounds: All boundaries, areas marked with white paint.
      • Water hazards: Marked Yellow
      • Lateral water hazards: Marked Red
      • All “GUR” marked Blue – players MUST take relief. 1 stroke penalty for breach.
      • Stones in bunkers and lateral hazards are movable objects. Rule 24-1 applies. Please inform your marker prior to removing.
      • If ball hits Electric wires or pole, player may opt to play another ball, without penalty. 
      • Suspension bridge base-stands, free drop if ball/swing in line with base-stands. Hole no 6:
      • Bridges, roads, paths, Benches, Bare ground, Banners/boards through the green, free drop as per regulations. 
      • Young trees (shorter than two club height marked or unmarked) through the green – Mandatory free drop as per regulations. 1 stroke penalty for breach.
      • Making divots during practice swing on the Tee Box and on the fairways is forbidden. 1 stroke penalty for breach.
      • Ant blobs on green may be lightly pressed (inform marker) along line of putt.
      • Ball inside Shelters through the green – free drop as per rules.
      • Casual water – free drop and may clean ball.
      • Ball plugged through the green (except hazards) – free drop may clean ball.
      • 18 holes stipulated round 3 ball is 4hrs 30 min: 4 ball is 5hrs 15min.
      • In case of lightening or thunder showers, stop play and await replay signal.
      • STOP = 1 prolonged blast on siren. RESTART = 3 prolonged blasts.
      • Green/Blue markers ESA (Environmentally Sensitive Areas). Must take relief. 1 stroke penalty for breach.
      • Ball in Birds nest, free relief.
      • Snake coiled around the ball, free relief.
      • Mobile phones to be switched “off” when playing competitions.
      • When playing “Preferred Lie” the ball must be marked before lifting to replace the ball not exceeding 12 inches or 30 cm (not nearer to the hole)
      • Army of ants on fairway, request relief and drop clear off ants area as per Golf regulations. Marker must be informed.
      • Dress Code must be respected on the course.
      • All members & players must register their names at the reception before Teeing off.
